About The One Club
The One Club, which exists to champion and promote excellence in advertising and design in all its forms, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the craft of advertising. Founded in 1975, The One Club has approximately 1,000 members, including copywriters and art directors. As part of its mission to promote high standards of creative excellence, The One Club produces four prestigious awards shows—the One Show, One Show Design, One Show Interactive and the recently-launched One Show Entertainment. Judged by a panel of the advertising industry's elite creative directors, the One Show acknowledges excellence in art direction and copywriting in a variety of categories, including television, radio, newspapers, magazines, billboards and public service announcements. The coveted One Show "Gold Pencils" are regarded as the zenith of achievement in the advertising world.
The One Club also premiered its critically acclaimed documentary film, Art & Copy, at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009.
The One Club regularly produces a variety of events and materials that encourage aspiring advertising types to hone their craft. These programs include:

2010 JURY SELECTED TO JUDGE THE ONE SHOW

Panel of Experts from Around the World to Judge Year’s Best Advertising for
Industry’s most Prestigious Award Show


NEW YORK, NY (February 21, 2010)— Thirty of advertising’s most influential and respected professionals have been selected to judge the One Show, the international awards competition which is widely regarded as the advertising industry’s equivalent to the Oscars®.

The One Show, One Show Design and One Show Interactive honors the year's best creative advertising, design and interactive achievements worldwide. The complete international jury for the One Show will select winners of the coveted Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils. Winners will be announced at the One Show awards presentation ceremony on May 13, 2010 at the new Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City. Winners in One Show Design will be honored at a ceremony on May 10th at the IAC Building in Lower Manhattan, and the festival week will conclude with One Show Interactive on May 14th at Terminal 5.

“We are excited to attract such an esteemed and diverse panel of judges,” said Mary Warlick, CEO of The One Club. “The One Show maintains its prestige by the caliber of the jury, and this year’s group is definitely at the top of their game.”

The One Show, now in its 35th year, is produced by The One Club, the New York-based non-profit organization dedicated to elevating the standards of excellence in creative advertising. This year, the One Show has received entries from over 60 countries.
