I think we need our own 'No Spec' policy/ rules/ website/ etc. etc. specifically for India.
People just take designers for granted.

They never consider their investment in terms of time, talent, infrastructure or knowledge.

I remember someone very close to me asked me to do a logo for his firm.
When I asked him for a brief, he said I could do it in my free time. LOL!
What exactly did he have in his mind???
Knowing what his intentions could be, I never asked him for a brief again nor did he follow up after that...

you are right about the desibners being taken for granted. I had a client who kept bouncing off website design ideas (saying, "kuch jam nahi raha hai")until I asked him to give me references of what he thought was good. He truned back to me and said "send me some references of what YOU like, and we can take it from there"

I was aghast!

Any idea of the results of the logo contest? they should have probably hired a top design firm to do it anyway.

I sent an e-mail to the winner of UIDAI logo contest -- Mr. Atul Pandey. He replied to me and told me that he doesn't have a blog or website, but will start them soon. At the moment, none of his works are available online.

I think Antz you should also have asked him about the change in name of the project.

Did he have prior info?

Did he only do the symbol and later Aadhar was plastered beneath it?
