I agree with you marginally :)

Its all about how well some one pretends and that takes an effort and skill. I've seen people with their own methodologies and massive intelligence along with streaks of data. Advertising is the only industry that deals with every other industry and so people in this field are expected to be more socialized. I love it and I hate it.

but the fact remains that advertising is full of insufferable fools. and the fact that it deals with every other industry, is a no gooder, because in your career you may deal with just a couple of industries. AND you will get paid less than your peers all your productive life, PLUS your career will be over by the time you hit 40.

after all, WHAT can you do once you have become an ECD. Not everyone becomes an NCD. Only perhaps some 10-15 people in the country? The rest doesnt count for much.

Your reply is really informative dude, thanks Paromita. I think it'll take some more time for me to understand the field better.

Absolutely, I had worked in S/w for 3 and a half year, even that is a lazy man's field and I find advertising better than that. For me its not abt staying in advertising, its about raising in advertising.

S/W, I suppose means software? Man, I find that exciting. People who can create softare have the power to change lives and the way we live.

advertising only makes us swtich to the next channel.

S/w makes people lazy under the name of technology. Advertising is an art form of communication definitely interesting than the s)w field
