wow, very nice....and look at bata chappal ads....they have someone like salman khan in banyan and chappal:)

thats true. most of teh art direction in this country sucks. i wonder why is that, since we have so many design schools and stuff...

probably becoz we grow up seeing too many ugly things around us... dirty roads...messy houses... ugly cars... bad movie posters... badly designed magazines and newspapers, badly dressed people... etc. our sense of asthetics can never be the same as someone brought up in NY or london... one of the reasons perhaps.

I thnk thats one of the main reasons. Designers growing up in Germany and other European countries adjust themselves mentally to the architecture, signs and use of colour around them(which is brilliant by the way). So the foundation of work they have to build on is rich and of the highest standard. A desi grows up next to broken signs, wayward buildings, railway stations with little graphic design (if at all any) and other things. So when he wants to break into the international scene, he has a lot of catching up to do.
