I was trying to acquaint myself with all the different light angles one can have in a shoot and what challenges you face when you try and shoot each at perfect exposure and how to deal.

Thanks Param. Perfect exposure is the point at which the picture is neither over-exposed nor under-exposed which on the number line is 0; -1 onwards is under-exposure and +1 onwards is over exposure.

Okay there is no prefect exposure but there is a near-to-perfect technical perfect exposure, where the tones are even throughout in a histogram. But otherwise the perfect exposure is really whatever you feel is perfect for your picture.

shikhar, if you had to shoot a chessboard in flat light, the histogram wouldnt be even. in that case what would be your 'technical perfect exposure'?

how many classes in Photography did you guys have? And who's your photo-teacher?

@ Param
I dont know. Its confusing. Ill ask my prof whos a photographer himself.
It was a 2 weeker. Almost all my modules are 2-3 weeks long. Other than that its dependent on self exploration unless they are a part of electives or specialization.
