Green one is pretty nice .....but i think it will be more nice if u used the overlay rectangle's (green rectangle) color to some other say transparent - white / yellow ....i don't know :) .....i just mean green over green is kind of pointless ....:D

the pink one is also kind of ok .......i belive when printed it will be more nice than it on screen

oooh...i just watched the full version ....most of the pictures used in green one is nice

I don't think I need to be a photographer to tell if the picture is entertaining, exciting or not. And thats how I held forth my opinions. Why don't you tell me what is so exciting about the picture.

The pic is very clear and decent, but being normal is not one's target!
No offense meant!

:D
This is a classic case of choice.
Which one do you want? A normal and boring ad that will boost the sales figures of a client OR
a creative scam ad that will bring in Lions, Metals and lots of fame?

In this 2011 calendar design, I chose the former. That was my choice. I wanted people to buy them if the calendars got printed (And, we are printing them!). That was the brief I set for myself.

If you see closely, every page of the calendar has two months. But it is NOT the normal 'Jan-Feb, Mar-Apr...' six sheet calendar; but 'Jan-Feb, Feb-Mar...' 12 sheet calendar. Is this unique? Absolutely not. But...

My experience taught me that project managers (my target audience) will find this kind of arrangement useful on their work of planning things ahead. People hate to flip pages in and out to see the dates of next month. People hate to look at the tiny digits on a single sheet calendar with all the 12 months and a big image. So, the present arrangement of 'Jan-Feb, Feb-Mar, Mar-Apr' is better.

In the 'Flowers' Calendar, I made some of the flowers to 'eclipse' the secondary months. If you think that it is a hindrance, you can always fall back to the 'Green' calendar.

The present debate made me to ask this question -- Can I come with a Calendar that is very creative and out of the box; Which may not sell in huge numbers but can bring me some fame and a 'Chicken Biriyani' (I hate Lions!)?

Watch this space.
And, thanks again for this active discussion.

@Antsfx: If we think creatives cant ring the cash counter then there is nothing about advertising!

Please come out of the illusion that creative works are just to get awards... It completely depends on your approach to cut into the consumers mind. Creativity helps the brand to be recognized easily.

Defying the conventions generates more interests in the public to spend time on the ads. You seem to be an experienced man who forgot the basics, I hope u can recollect wat I was trying to convey.
