A big hello to everyone here,
My name’s Aneil (that’s not a typo – that’s how it’s spelled), and I’m a copywriter. Freelance at the moment, and also unemployed at the moment (just...have...to...get...that...one...project...). But getting better at writing cover letters for positions on a daily basis. Not lovin’ it, but it’s the old c’est la vie thing…
I’m glad I stumbled across this forum – there’s great information here, and some really cool people who I hope to learn from and exchange views with in the near future.

I've done a variety of stuff - print, TV ad scripts, radio scripts, web content, academic advertising, brochures, ebooks. Nothing fancy or glamorous, just plain vanilla. But, no scam ads either

I'm freelancing on a project basis. Unfortunately, the recession has made getting a job quite difficult. So, at the moment, I'm doing a couple of projects for friends' companies. I'm also on the roster of small agencies who don't need full time writers. At least freelancing allows me to build my portfolio and get me more experience, while looking for fulltime opportunities. Since I've just finished grad school, this isn't too bad

have you tried looking for freelance online? Elance or guru.com?
