Coke Studio

Post by Ek Kanya »

Coke Studio is a Pakistani television series featuring live music performances. The program focuses on a fusion of the diverse musical influences in Pakistan, including eastern classical, folk, and contemporary popular music. The show provides a platform for renowned as well as upcoming and less mainstream artists, from various genres and regions, to collaborate musically in live studio recording sessions.
Season One premiered on June 8, 2008 and included a live audience. Season Two premiered on June 14, 2009 without a live audience, eliminating the associated background noise and providing a more intimate atmosphere.
Coke Studio has been popular, receiving critical acclaim and frequently being rebroadcast on television and radio in Pakistan. The official Facebook site, launched before Season Two premiered, quickly grew to over 64,000 fans after the third episode.
Video and MP3 files for each song are available for download on the Coke Studio website after each episode airs, along with additional material. The videos are also available on Youtube, which have frequently been viewed and commented on, with the official posting of Aik Alif viewed over 22,000 times in the first five weeks.
Coke Studio is produced by Rohail Hyatt and his wife Umber Hyatt. Featured artists on each episode are backed by a house band and guest artists.

Coke studio Pakistan beats Coke studio india for the simple reason the artists the selection of their artists was based on the variation and talent.... In coke studio India it was just commercial and bollywood artists put together with the most out there bands. Even the sound equipment used by coke studio pakistan was much better than that in India, you can hear the sound of every instrument so much better in the pakistani version.
