ashtray for smokers

I have thought of gifting an ash tray liek this to my smoker friends.
I have seen this idea before.
The lungs you have used look very healthy. It would be nice to make them look charred!
Still better would be if you could find out about some technology or process which will make the ashtray look charred over a period of time. As in let the ash-tray be with those pink lungs initially but as one starts using it, it turns black. Actually this could happen naturally also but I am thinking of how this can be made innovative.
Also consider sending them like a proper Direct Mail. Measure the response if possible. It would be nice to know how many people actually give up smoking.
