The No Label blog is initiated and run by ABSOLUT VODKA as a part of the “In An ABSOLUT World, There Are No Labels” project. The humble ambition with the blog, and the project as a whole, is to set off a discussion around labels and prejudice about sexual minorities.
In the blog you will find discerning and thought-provoking postings addressing the problems of bundling different minorities together into one homogenous target group, often referred to as LGBT. Because when you think about it: Does an 80-year old lesbian woman living in South Korea really have that much in common with a 18-year old gay man from Berlin? Or a Brazilian transsexual who dreams of being the next super model?
The blog will be alive from June 2008 for at least 6 months and will present the latest progress of the “In An ABSOLUT World, There Are No Labels” project; bottle releases, interviews and much more.
The editor is very familiar with LGBT issues and especially hired by ABSOLUT to run this blog. To avoid labels being put on the editor we keep him or her anonymous. If you knew it was a gay man, a lesbian woman, a transgendered person or someone straight, you would most definitely read the postings with prejudice.
Have fun reading and feel free to comment, agree or disagree.
