The Economst : India

Post by Saumya »

the new ET campaign you see all around. I think its a bad outdoors idea. too much to read on a billboard while you are in a vehicle. as a print campaign, it's decent. The Economist has a tough creative legacy to follow...

@pixelfiesta: Of course if i want to stand there and read it, i can. It's not rocket science. But I should want to stand there and read it. If I don't want to stand there and read it, I will just glance through. Wonder what that means though...

if you would have noticed, their billboards are strategically located, where one can read and 'interpret' the message easily. moreover, the size of the billboards, plus the clutter-free text make sure one doesnt take long to read it.

i am still having trouble interpreting the 'LTTE' thingy...

and while I am in a cab driving through twon, i have tried hard to read. I think it was David Ogilvy, who had once mentioned that billboards must be easy to read within some x seconds or so... or maybe I am mistaken...
