i wonder if any indian design/advertising schools are entering these contests at all?

youare right, allen. we shold have more serious entries from JJ School of Art, NID, Delhi School of Art, MICA, Baroda School of Art etc. Somehow we as a nation are just not competitive in the internaional space. Only NOW have ad agines started taking awards seriously (since the last 4 years, I think) and see what results it brought!
