it is unfortunate but true - i'm talking about Mr. Angshuman Roy's allegations. he's right. sometimes when you are at the fag end of your wit & dunno' what you do, this happens. the fact that my mental situation was under control of psychotropic substances, i do not even remember putting them up. all the ads that Mr.Roy has pointed out is his work. and his work only.
now since i'm, as well as my mind, is free of all controls (the wrong kinds) i express my heartfelt apologies to him and all you fellow DCians. kindly forgive me.
i ask Mr.Roy to forgive me for my stupidity and request Desi to take the ads pointed out by Mr.Roy off the forum. or change the credits.
once again friends, SORRY to Mr.Roy and SORRY to all DCians too.

It's ok man, i forgive you. The best thing is that you realise your mistakes and admit them. I am sure you have the talent and you will come out stronegr from these.

Dear Tirtho, well I guess what's happened has happened. Just like the post I wrote back to you replying to your malicious post to me.

I can understand the background, and whilst what you have done is unforgivable, the fact that you have been brave enough to come out and admit it, is admirable.

Reassess where you are. Take some time off advertising if need be. And come back with a refreshed way at looking at things.

I agree with Shanty. Tirtho i really feel u need a girl. You have been hitting on me and priyanka openly on this forum but i think there is a deeper problem. Maybe you are lonely and feel unwanted. Hey, we like your wit, your humor and ever your honesty. I dont think anyone is stupid enough not to come up with decent ideas. You can, and i haven't seen how u look but go and find some nice bengali girls...there are so beautiful. Better still hook a model as those are the kinds u like. ANyway this new year start from a clean slate.

Here's what I feel (and I hope Angshuman is reading this).

Why do we place such a premium on creativity in advertising?

Why do we go hammer and tongs against people who seemingly plaigiarise? (when it well could have been a coincidence).

Why do we, as advertising creatives, always have to justify ourselves that our thoughts are original, 100% unadulterated?

Especially when Mahesh Bhatt gets away by ripping off Hollywood. So does Sanjay Gupta. So does Kunal Kohli. So does 75% of Bollywood. And guess what, they make far much more money than we do. And get far more media eyeballs.

The less said about people like Kaavya Vishwanathan, the better.

There was only one real creative director...God. The rest of us are merely spin doctors in charge of spinning new spins.

Let's not be so hard on each other guys. It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it.

Shanty, the only reason I posted what I posted was due to the fact my entire portfolio was taken from me. What you saw posted here, those 4 ads I had mentioned, were posted as it was. Not a word, neither a drop shadow was changed. Anyways, I hope and pray that may life_joke gets his life back in order. Join the NA if necessary and put his life back on track. He like anybody else is capable of something brilliant and I am sure in the future we will see some refreshing work from him. I have seen him at close quarters and I beleive he can do so, but only if he wants to from within. Tirthankar just remember - tough times never last, tough people do. Thanks for the prompt reply. No, I am definitely not justifying what Tirthankar did. At the same time, I am not willing to guillotine him either.

In a way, this entire episode is for his good.
