Seriously, i want to ask a questions, hows life in India? i mean hows isit? I really want to know it...recently watch a documentary about India, seems not bad but of course still have something that made me feel uneasy.

And btw, how much usually a executive creative Director have in terms of monthly pay? in India of course but if you can give me informations about other countries i will be very grateful about that...

i heard some national CDs in India make around a million $ a year. a decent CD in western europe would make 250,000 USD a year plus more.

surprisingly in dubai starting salaries for CDs would be around 120K. this would be what a hot senior AD would make in singapore. i know some ECD jobs in central europe where they offer 80-90,000 USD.

however some agencies pay more, some pay peanuts, finally it all comes down to negotiations. the above may not even be industry standard, this is what i know from friends, personal experiences.

But i believe in one thing, the more you ask ffrom them, you must at least make the company earn 10 to 20 times your salary for the company. Btw your 120K is in india money or singapore dollars?

US$. It's easy to find out dude. Just check monster.com or some of these headhunters, sometimes they mention the salaries with the position. And you can calculate your own average.

Dalbir, I dont think too many CDs in India are getting a Million USD. I think its Prasoon Joshi, Piyush Pandey and perhaps thats it. I know CDs inlarge agecncies in Mumbai who get some 80-90k take home. thats bout 1500,000 a year or Rs 1.5 million Cost To Company. Decent pay. But if are buying a house in Mumbai, its 50-60k per month less from your take-home, so you are left with some 30k in hand minus Car EMI and Phone Bills. You should have somewhat like 20k in hand for expenses+savings per month. an OK deal I guess. You might have to sacrifice some of the finer things in life.

of course ek kanya, i said NATIONAL CDs. And that would mean Bruce, Prasoon Joshi, Prasoon Pandey, Balki and a few others...

but that 90 K take home is pretty bad. what about mid level guys? like they say- you don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate.

no wonder there is so much sleeping around in the advertising biz.

Wow, haha then i cant imagine how much the pay is for Chief Creative Officer/ President who in charge of south east asia, man!
