No Allen. I don't freelance fulltime. I work for a DM agency.

But ya, many times I have thought of going freelance full-on. Its just that I dont dare to take that plunge.
About client paying, what I hear is, people have the money but they always don't want to pay.

And especially when it comes to design. People in India don't respect or understand design, hence they are very skeptical about paying.

Do you freelance, Allen?

everyone wants to make a film these days. so the real film makers who spent years studying the art don't get a chance. it's a shame. u should not want to make a film, just like that, so irresponsibly, allen matthews.

What are real filmmakers. There are so many people who study something and dont put it to use.
So whats wrong in someone trying something out.

For all you know, Allen might have better ideas! Who knows he could be successful as a great filmmaker.

BTW, what do you do, Allen? Art?

there is a difference between trying something for the heck of it and being a focussed passionate in something. I hope, for starters, you agree with me on this one.

Basant, yes I agree. There is a difference is trying something and being passionate about something — but passion doesn't build in a day. When one attempt and succeeds, that itself becomes the motivation and that is what fuels passion.

Am I complicating things? :o

no i don't think passion has anything to do with time. it can come in a day, it can take years. in fact i don't even think passion has necessarily to be productive. one can be passionate about something and yet do nothing about it. and passions need not be constant. one can be passionate about photography today, and hate it tomorrow.

Allen wants to make films. Its much better than writing scripts and getting paid shit less money for it. I have seen other people do it. I will too.
