shanty, i am trying to ask all the nit wits that are in love with kk to explain why kk is so good. just because they did that youth hostel ad which is no better then a miami ad school student? i am sick of these west imposed ideas of what is good and what is not. can u give me a logical explanation why those long neck bottle ads are so good that we desis are discussing them?

Dude, I still don't know where you are leading to. What is this obsession of yours to rid yourself and all us desis of our so called hangover for the words of wisdom from the Western world?
Why should we hold court on whether we desis are justified in thinking KK is great if the world of Western advertising deems them to be? Why should we feel that if a few desis actually like KK and consider them to be the first and last word of God, that demeans work that comes from us desis (or work which you like)?
Amitabh Bachchan never won an Oscar (nor for that matter Martin Scorsese). Have you ever heard Big B tell people not to watch or love English films because the West considers 'Monster's Ball' to be worthy of an Oscar and yet has not given India an awards' nod?
Please for all our sake (and especially for the sake of your sanity), stop this balderdash and fiddle-faddle once and for all. You've made your point. All of us have made ours.
If no one's still buying yours, there's no need to labour over the point.
I am not belittling you on any account. I only feel all this effort of trying to prove your point to Arjun or whosoever is a complete waste of energy. He's as entitled to his opinion of liking and professing KK's virtues as you are doing with hating and reiterating their vices.
Relax man. It's only advertising, nobody ever got killed. We're here to discuss advertising, not patriotism. KK has never asked you or anyone to love them. In the same way, you cannot ask anyone to love your views.
I suggest you save up on some of that flowing adrenaline and put it into making a campaign that will make you and our glorious country proud. The only way to make the West and everyone else notice is to do great work ourselves.
