Difficult to say, but going by the release dates, probably the Mother's Dream ad was done first...

As per Coloribus, the Honda ad is a very fresh release (Feb 2009)
http://www.coloribus.com/paedia/prints/ ... 01/280962/

And the Mothers Dream ad was already posted on our site on the 28th Jan 09

But I fail to understand, why would Honda rip-off a desi campaign.
The objects placed are too too identical. Is it photoshopped?

thanks to my director friend, ani thomas, who traced back the Honda Image to Getty images:

and the Honda ad has the same credit for the photographer as the 'Mother's Pride' ad:

so the original idea was teh photographers, who put his image up for sale at Getty!

gosh! I will never depend on a stock image for a campaign idea! although the mother's pride was a fantastic campaign no doubt...

The underlying thought in both these is still dreams/imagination.
Can one of this be a rip-off creative???

And the question remains... Who came first?

Am looking for other ads from Honda in the same series

my god! this is quiet something! how does one know if a certain picture has been used before? maybe Corbis/Getty should have an automatic system where they can figure out when a picture has been used in an ad, and NOT sell it to another one for a similar purpose?

coincidence...nopes disturbing coincidence.
kinda puts your mind off ever relying on stock from Getty/Corbis.
scary since it's client money involved (yes, yes, I know a lot is scam) but am sure Honda and even Mother's Dream put their money where their mouths were.
