Would you keep a GrandPrix winner after he wins. Me, NO!

Post by TruthHurts »

Tim Piper is the biggest name today after winning double grand prix at Cannes for Dove Evolution. In all likelyhood this will be his biggest win ever.

So when a creative wins grand prix everyone runs after him to hire that person. DO they realize that the person will have 1 in a trillion chance of winning another grandprix. So why not hire a promosing creative then run after has beens.

Good one Truth. Actually i will tell the creative that he has given me what he will never be able to give another person. This is like loosing the verginity.

if he's allowed to produce more work like that... he will win again. being allowed to take great ideas to finish is key. unfortunately alot of former winners have great ideas die inside the agency. never forget when i worked w/ alot of lion winners & personally saw their & my ideas die for political reasons inside the agency.

my 2¢

you are right. i have also seen great ideas die because of political reasons on the client's side as well. so I am sometmes in awe of a great idea that survived at all!

we once had the servicing person who hated us for some reason. and she made life hell for us, on a holiday weekend, for an ad that she ultimately dropped. It was never meant to run!
