i liked your description for a "wink brand"....going by that i feel even Tata Tea and Cadbury can also be included in that category!! and the role of social media is implicit!

yeah and some of these brands are also weak brands. they will manage because in the immature indian economy, they have no competition. like most barsitas and cafe coffee days have been sucessful because there was no starbucks. the service is bad, they offer no breakfast, no wifi, most outlets dont even have a toilet. they have been successful because of the absence of competition and NOT because of any branding efforts. what do you feel?
