"Folkpick is a nonprofit label which aims at promoting folk music and unknown musicians from all over India. This debut venture features Basudeb Das singing baul songs which resonate the earthy mysticism of Bengal. Bauls are mystic minstrels who wander from place to place singing songs and begging to survive. Well known in the baul circuit Basudeb is a multi instrumentalist and vocalist who is a hardcore purist in approach, rendering all his songs in the true traditional form."
