Darth Vader in our life

Postby antzfx » Tue Sep 22, 2009 3:09 pm

Dear All,

The other day, I saw a couple of 'Star Wars' movies (On the last count, there are six of them!). I will say that 'Star Wars' is the story of Darth Vader. His humble beginnings, becoming a hero, jumping to the dark side, the 'crowned' villain, resistance from his son and finally martyrdom.

Darth Vader is a subject in many advertisements. Following are some of them, in no particular order:

Looks like there are more 'acute' fans of Darth Vader.
In the new movie '17 Again,' the actor Thomas Lennon portrayed Ned Gold -- a fantasy movie fan. Just see the Darth Vader suit in the background and the graphic on his blue T-shirt.

On ONIDA's devil, yes -- they should have retained it.
Well, I found the following cartoon -- 'Last' by Vivek Thakkar -- in the Outlook Business Magazine, 03-Oct. For some strange reason, the magazine's website and the artist's blog http://vivekthakkarart.blogspot.com/ do not feature this piece. After searching in the internet for half an hour, I took a photo of this magazine and uploaded for you guys to see it.

i really agree with you about the killing of Onida's Devil. They havent exploited it well enough. See howthey have taken Darth Vader and exploited to sooo well! Love the Onida Devil cartoon! So apt!
